Seniors off to a Winning Start
Ballylinan Senior footballers began their 2013 Division 2 campaign with an away trip to near neighbours Barrowhouse last Sunday morning 7th April.
Although Ballylinan were against a very strong wind in the first half it wasn't long before the gulf in the level both these teams play at became very obvious. Ballylinan took complete control of the game and once they came to grips with the strong wind began to rack up the scores. Brian Kenna was in good shooting form and kicked five points from play from Ballylinan's 2-08 first half total.
On the changeover it was more of the same as Ballylinan made five changes and the scores kept coming. Goals from Emmet Doyle and Brian McEvoy and some good points from Alan Farrell left the full time score 5-18 to 0-00. Next up will be Graiguecullen in Ballylinan on Saturday 20th April.
